Clean Up Cleveland 2013

CleanUp Cleveland was held in conjunction with Trash Off, which allowed residents in a three-county area to drop off waste such as tires, electronics, household goods and paper.

Southeast Texas Under Red Flag Warning

  • With wind gust up to 30 miles per hour, the National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for several counties in Southeast Texas, including Montgomery County, on Tuesday from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. The warning means that a combination of strong winds, low humidity and warm temperatures could lead to fires spreading quickly. Affected counties are: Houston, Trinity, Madison, Walker. San Jacinto, Polk, Burleson, Brazos, Washington. Grimes, Montgomery, Liberty, Colorado, Austin, Waller. Harris, chambers, Wharton, Fort Bend, Jackson. Matagorda, Brazoria and Galveston.

People’s Building Center was named small business of the year and Larry Harris accepted the award. Alfonso Herrera accepted the award for Los Compadres Restaurant after it was named business of the year. Melissa Elliot was named Liberty County EMT of the year. Chad Gladfelter was named Firefighter of the Year. Bryan Paytrom was named Rotarian of the Year. Diana McIntire was named Ambassador of the Year. Linda Sanders was named the Senior Center Volunteer of the Year.
