Carving creation in Humble

  • Sculpture James Phillips created a rooster carving from an old sycamore tree in front of Chez Nous on S Avenue G in Humble, Texas, on Oct. 18, 2012. Owners Scott and Stacy Simonson commissioned the work from the dead sycamore tree after it was struck by lighting several months ago.

Humble's Autumn's Dawn helps local realize dream

  • Kingwood's Ryan Orlando met with ABC 13 meteorologist Casey Curry to learn more about the meteorology industry during a visit to the station on Oct. 3, 2012. The meting was set up by Autumn's Dawn, a nonprofit organization which helps young adults with autism prepare for life as independent adults, to help Orlando find a way to use his meteorology degree.
